Dreamland
Medium: Alcohol Ink and Resin on Hand-Carved MDF
Dimensions: 24" × 29"
Year Completed: 2026
Dreamland began as the memory of a landscape encountered in a dream, a place that lingered long after waking. That vision was first translated into a hand-drawn sketch before being meticulously carved from MDF, allowing the dream to emerge as a sculptural form with its own distinctive presence.
Rich alcohol inks flow across the carved surface, while layers of resin enhance its depth and luminosity, revealing shifting color and texture as light moves across the work. Every contour, edge, and flowing transition contributes to the feeling of standing before a landscape shaped not by geography, but by memory and imagination.
Dreamland invites viewers into a place where the boundaries between sculpture and painting dissolve, and where dreams are given physical form. It is a celebration of the landscapes we carry within us, reminding us that some of the most extraordinary places we encounter exist beyond the limits of the waking world.
