Foreign Terrain

Medium: Alcohol Ink and Resin on Wooden Panel
Dimensions: 20" × 16"
Year Completed: 2025

Foreign Terrain invites viewers into a forest that exists somewhere between memory and imagination. Deep greens and soft lavender hues weave together across the wooden panel, creating a dreamlike landscape that feels both unfamiliar and strangely welcoming. It is the kind of place that cannot be found on a map, yet somehow feels as though it has been visited before.

Flowing alcohol ink and luminous resin create an immersive sense of depth, allowing colors to drift and merge like shifting foliage beneath an otherworldly sky. As the eye wanders through the composition, subtle forms emerge and dissolve, encouraging each viewer to discover their own path through the landscape.

Foreign Terrain reflects the curious feeling of becoming lost in a place that feels inexplicably familiar. It celebrates the mysterious spaces where memory, dreams, and intuition intersect, reminding us that some of our deepest connections are formed in landscapes that exist only within the imagination.
